Clúster Agrotech Canarias has held a working meeting with representatives of Clúster Innovacal and the Tecnova Technology Centre in Andalusia, with the aim of sharing experiences and exploring possible avenues for collaboration in agri-food innovation.
The visit, made by José Luis Sújar, manager of Clúster Agrotech Canarias, took place at Tecnova’s facilities and provided a first-hand insight into some of the initiatives developed by both organisations, as well as an opportunity to exchange perspectives on cooperation between their respective ecosystems.
Connecting capabilities across regions
During the visit, possible areas of collaboration were discussed between the organisations and companies linked to their respective innovation environments.
The meeting provided an opportunity to share knowledge and experiences relating to the work of clusters and technology centres, and to identify areas of common interest for future initiatives.
This connection between regions is particularly relevant to the Canary Islands, where adapting technological solutions to the specific characteristics of the primary sector requires a combination of business capabilities, specialist knowledge and experience in applied innovation.
Building relationships with organisations in other regions can facilitate the exchange of good practice, the identification of technologies and the creation of opportunities for companies in the Canary Islands’ agrotechnology ecosystem.
New opportunities for cooperation
Mari Carmen Galera Quiles and Rafael Coca Huertas, representing Tecnova and Innovacal respectively, took part in the meeting and shared their experiences and areas of work with the manager of Clúster Agrotech Canarias.
The visit maintained contact between the two ecosystems and opened a dialogue on possible future collaborations.
For Clúster Agrotech Canarias, meetings of this kind form part of its work to connect companies, knowledge centres and specialist organisations, helping the islands’ primary sector access new capabilities and opportunities for innovation.
